About the Student Leadership
The Student Leadership Zoom-in (typically ‘drive-in') will be a half-day conference for the northern, central, and southern regions of the Western Association of Colleges and Universities (WACUHO) region. It will be hosted by the regional chairs of each region and it serves to bring together student leaders of varying Housing and/or Residential Life departments from colleges and universities to learn, network, and develop their skills as student leaders at their individual institutions.
This goal is accomplished through:
The sharing of ideas and practices within programs that attendees create and present to their peers (if they so choose) in attendance;
Allowing for individuals to get a sense of how their counterparts work at other schools and possibly bring back new ideas to try at their institution; and
The opportunity to build friendships that extend beyond just the conference.
The conference also allows for delegations to rep their school pride by participating in fun, spirited (and maybe slightly competitive) events to take home the pride of being called the most spirited school delegation.
